I went to this Citroen celebration day at a Citroen dealer. They had all sorts of CX, BX, AX, you name it, they had it! Even a couple of those rotary concepts (m35). Im not a Citrophile by any means, but it felt good being surrounded by those French beauties.

The first one is a Prestige version (longer wheelbase, cabin better appointed) . Pity it is a Series 2, with the plastic bumpers. Surely more practical but a lot less elegant than the stainless steel ones. The dashboard is more conventional too.

I wish 70s “hydro” Citroëns were better loved. There are so few around that one day they will become seriously collectable. I have a soft spot for the CX (who wouldn’t?) but an even softer one for the GS, which went one step further in being different (air-cooled flat four).

Anyone here actually daily driving a CX in the US? If so how much (on top of gas & insurance) do you budget per year for maintenance & repairs? $500? $1000? More?
